But as for him who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained himself from impure evil desires, and lusts. Verily, Paradise will be his abode. Sura Naazi'aat 40 - 41
no one had expected a vegetarian spread could taste sooo good! credit must go to rachel and charmaine for the very very well done cuisine. kudos to you, my girls! there were all sorts of creative concoctions. mushroom and cranberry strudel was a hot favourite i must admit. (i'm so gonna learn how to make that. haha.) other than the good food, there was good company to complement. it was a heartwarming reunion for (half of) rgs 410ers, (the cool, hot and happening) meridians (!) and random rafflesians whom i have forged strange relations with. either way, it was a pretty cosy and warm gathering. everyone followed closely to the dress theme and as you would've noticed, it was red/gold.
oh and i have to especially thank this party for bringing old flames together again! and by that, i mean DEBBY and I. it's about time we get crazy again, embracing life as it is, beautifying it for each other by each of her very existence. here's for you, debs! and may the flames burn on beyond. firing ahead.
wahhh been a while.
a pretty long while.

it started with the idea of helping Abel have his final blast before he gets enlisted in the army. and goes for conscription for two whole freaking years (with weekends free no doubt, but what the hell, tired men are sleepy boys). so Edmund and i decided to invite Abel to tennis (our final visit to PineVale in a long time i guess). after which, i had an invitation to attend the first anniversary party of the Youth Advolution for Health (YAH) at Club DXO at Esplanade. since it's a "party" (with free flow of food, drinks & mocktails!) i thought of extending the invitation to the boys as well. besides, these boys are your cravin'-for-some-clubbin' innocent boys so bringing them to a CLEAN smoke-free alcohol-free party would give them a brief idea without having to drive them drunk men home. cos drunk men are dangerous boys. and at the same time, i get to "preach" this whole idea of a healthy lifestyle (after all, YAH is a youth wing of the Health Promotion Board), so this whole "club" concept party is a good way to approach youngsters, who are increasingly hitting the clubs and pubs with daddy's money, converting riches to beer bottles and eventually, puke.
so there, my part of POSITIVE PEER INFLUENCE (:

Say: "Verily, Allah sends astray whom He wills and guides unto Himself those who turn to Him in repentance." Sura R'ad
the night is still young. the party has yet to begin.
we hit Balcony but there were too many youngsters. so we decided to resort to some private cooing at kbox.
thereafter, reaching home at seven in the morning: prom hangover.
and this, is minus alcohol and smoke.
two things that atiqah fairuz will not experience in this lifetime.
they're against her principles.
they're against His.
